Van Gaal admits Ronaldo deal is ‘possible’

Ronaldo United-RealManchester United boss Louis van Gaal, has said the club is looking to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo left Old Trafford in 2009 for Real Madrid in a world record £80m transfer, but has become disillusioned at the Santiago Bernabeu recently, following the club’s summer transfer dealings.
The 29-year-old publicly criticized Madrid’s decision to sell Angel Di Maria to United and Xabi Alonso to Bayern Munich. Although he signed a new five-year deal last year, he is believed to be keen on a return to England.
When Van Gaal was asked at his Fruday press conference whether he could bring Ronaldo back to United, he replied: “Yes, but it’s always a discussion in the papers, and I don’t think the media shall buy Ronaldo.”
The Dutchman however admitted that the Spanish giants will not be willing sellers, but stressed that the former Premier League champions are well placed to do big deals.
“It is possible,” Van Gaal said. “That’s what I have said with (Radamel) Falcao.
“Players like Ronaldo give a lot of extra to a team, but I don’t think Real Madrid shall sell him.”
