In every professional community, there are individuals whose names gradually become synonymous with service, mentorship and leadership. *DR. FRANCIS ERAH - Consultant Public Health Physician and HOD, Department of Public Health and Community Medicine, ISTH*, is undoubtedly one of such distinguished personalities.

As the Association of Resident Doctors, ISTH celebrates his appointment as Secretary, NMA National Committee on Internal Audit, we at the blog join the good people of ARD-ISTH in extending our warmest congratulations to a teacher, leader and quintessential NMA statesman.

From his years of nurturing young doctors as a teacher and mentor, to his service as Past Coordinator, Edo Central NMA, and Vice-Chairman, Edo NMA, Dr. Erah has continued to demonstrate that leadership is not merely a position occupied, but a responsibility carried with dignity, intellect and uncommon commitment.

His new national assignment therefore comes as another chapter in a story already written in the ink of service. The responsibility before him is significant, but so too is the wealth of experience, institutional knowledge and professional integrity he brings to the table.

For those who have encountered him in the classroom, the hospital, the NMA family or the wider medical community, this appointment is more than a notification, it is another opportunity for competence to meet responsibility and experience to serve purpose.

We celebrate *Dr. Francis Erah* today, not merely because a new title has been added to his name, but because his journey continues to remind us that consistent service eventually finds its way to the corridors of greater responsibility.
