CAF announces AFCON hosts for 2019, 2021 and 2023

The Confederation of African Football (CAF), has announced Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea as hosts of the Africa Cup of Nations for the 2019, 2021 and 2023 editions respectively.
For Cameroon, it will bring a 42-year hosting drought to an end, as the only time they hosted the continental competition, was in 1972.
It will also be Côte d’Ivoire’s second bite of the cherry. The West Africans hosted the 1984 edition. Guinea have never hosted an AFCON tournament before.
CAF have also confirmed that voting for the hosts of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, will take place early in 2015.
Zambia and Algeria lost out in the bidding to host the 2019 and 2021 events respectively
