A political group, APC New Generation Initiative has endorsed Kano State governor, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi as presidential and vice presidential candidates respectively in 2015 election.
In its meeting held at Pixi Hotel, Port Harcourt, the coalition of youth leaders said there has been consultations as to the emergence of new leaders who have shown abilities and can move the nation to greater heights.
A statement jointly signed by the coordinator, Malam Balarabe Rufai and the secretary John Nwakanma said that the adoption of Kwankwaso and Amaechi was in line with the agitation for new leaders.
It said there’s a need to replace the aging politicians like Atiku Abubakar and Muhammad Buhari, who have immensely contributed to the development of the country and need to step aside.
“We have had meetings in the six geo-political zones and we stand by the party’s decision to zone positions and the Kwankwaso/Amaechi ticket is our own position”, the statement added.
