Adamawa guber: Delegates root for Marwa

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Former military administrator of Lagos State and governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State, Brigadier General Mohammed Marwa (retd), was yesterday assured the ticket of the party in the next governorship election in the state by the 335 delegates of the party in Adamawa Central Senatorial District.
The Chairman of the PDP in the district, Alhaji Danjuma Iliyasu, told Marwa that the delegates would not hesitate to endorse him for the party’s governorship ticket because of his records of service in Borno and Lagos states, which every citizen of the state wanted replicated  in the state.
Iliyasu lamented that while most states in the federation were enjoying the dividends of democracy, the reverse had been the case in Adamawa due to bad leadership. Consequently, he challenged the delegates and Adamawa citizens to rally round Marwa to transform the state in terms of socio-economic development.
Addressing the delegates and the PDP leadership in the senatorial district, General Marwa thanked them for his endorsement and pledged to run a purposeful leadership that would be the envy of all in the country.
According to him, socio-economic and infrastructural development of the state would be accorded a priority by his administration, while he would operate compulsory free qualitative healthcare services and education for Adamawa children and youths, saying education was the bedrock of development in any society.
Marwa told  the delegates from the 77 wards in the senatorial district that he would run a government that would keep faith with the social contract with them on the transformation of the state.
He debunked the news making the rounds that the presidency had imposed a gubernatorial candidate on the party in the state, declaring it as the machination of mischief-makers.
