Okagbare clinches 100m gold, sets record


OKAGBARE-AND-COMPETITORSNIGERIA'S sprint amazon, Blessing Okagbare, on Monday clinched the  women's 100m gold, beating Jamaica's Veronica Campbell-Brown and Kerron Stewart to the second and third positions respectively.
 The Nigerian golden girl set a Commonwealth Games record of 10.85 seconds in the process.
England's Asha Philip ran a personal best of 11.18 to finish fourth, with team-mate Bianca Williams emerging sixth in 11.31.
"I am so proud of myself, so happy to run a personal best (PB) at a major event - it gives me a lot of confidence," Philip said.
