ABEG SEE The English Premier league table after Saturday's round of matches.

Hehehe.......Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea and suprise package,Watford, lead the pack! hehe...hope it will last...see more abeg

Chelsea striker, Alvaro Morata is surely doing his new club a lot of justice, and also proved he could silence his doubters in the English premier league after his goal and that of teammate, N'Golo Kante, was enough to put a brewing Leicester City to bay at the King Power stadium on Saturday.
Alvaro Morata nodded in Cesar Azpilicueta's cross to put Chelsea ahead before half-time while N'Golo Kante , who was facing his former side, Leicester City, refused to celebrate after scoring in the 50th minute out of respect for his former employers.

Morata was always a thorn in the flesh of Leicester City's captain Wes Morgan, who constantly tried all his best to deny him but his hard-work later paid off, while Leicester city enjoyed a consolation goal from a Jamie Vardy penalty in the 62nd minute.

Some important facts to note after this match include:
-This is the first time Leicester City have lost three of their opening four top-flight fixtures since 1994-95.
-Eden Hazard made his long awaited return from an ankle injury while signing, Davide Zappacosta, was brought in, to help control the ship against Leicester City.
- Chelsea had not won a Premier League away fixture in September in any of the last four seasons.
-Chelsea have now won their last three games in a row.
-The last time Leicester City lost three of their opening four top flight fixtures, they were relegated.

Morata has made a strong start to his time in Chelsea, scoring three goals in his first four outings, having missed a penalty in the Community Shield against Arsenal at the beginning of August.
Antonio Conte was delighted to see Morata score again and praised him for his link-up play .
"It is a good day for the team and for Alvaro," said Conte in his post-match press conference.
"It is always important for a striker to score. It is important to see he is improving and always more involved in our idea of football.
"That is most important and if he scores then I am very happy."

Kante, speaking after the match said; "It is always special to play my old team. I had an amazing year here but when I come I try to win,"

"It is always a pleasure to score but I keep my celebration inside because I want to respect my old team."
Chelsea had to see off a tough late fightback from Leicester, to secure a third consecutive Premier League victory at the King Power Stadium, and at the end Chelsea could have scored more, but should be happy with this win that takes them back into the top four.

Pundits and punters, football lovers and the neutrals, old and young all believed this will be another three points, another roller-coaster in the park for Manchester United, and why shouldn't they have thought so? Up until the International break, Jose Mourinho's men were the best team in the land and hadn't conceded in three games, securing three wins out of three.

But on Saturday, Man U, encountered an unlikely nemesis- new Stoke City signing, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, who scored twice as Stoke ended Manchester United's 100% start to the new Premier League season.
It was the first goal Man U. had conceded in 535 minutes of Premier league football, a run stretching back to last season, but Man U equalized less than three minutes later after Paul Pogba headed towards goal from a corner and a slight deflection off the back of Marcus Rashford's head.

Summer signing, Romelu Lukaku, scored for his team shortly after half time but Choupo-Moting, who gave Phil Jones a torrid, hurricane-style time,  levelled in the 63rd minute, heading in Xherdan Shaqiri's corner at the back post unchallenged.

Lukaku, towards the end, wasted an excellent chance in the 81st minute when he fired over from Anthony Martial's smart cross after losing his marker eight yards out.
Jack Butland  and David de Gea both produced excellent saves to keep their sides in the game, and Jose Mourinho will now know, that with this result, his team must cut their slack if they are to keep a grip of their position at the top of the table. Man U still lead at the top of the league... for another 7 days though!!
It could have been the perfect excuse for Liverpool- 'oh our best player on the field,- Saido Mane received a red card', but Jurgen Klopp's men only have themselves to blame after Pep Guardiola's Man City thrashed them 5-0 on Saturday at the Etihad Stadium. It's Jurgen Klopp's biggest humiliation (with no consolation goal) since joining the Kop.
Joel Matip fired a long ball overhead, which fell between the Liverpool's player of the month, Saido Mane and new Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson, both rushed towards it fancying they’d reach it first, but with Mane's eyes on the ball, he rose up his foot towards Ederson, injuring the goalkeeper in the process. What many pundits thought will be a yellow card, even though Ederson was stretchered off, resulted in a sending off for the Senegalese winger, and Liverpool after that moment, never recovered!

Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus and substitute Leroy Sane fired goals in rampant fashion, to push Manchester City to second position in the table, and make pundits wonder if Liverpool have the defence to survive a long Epl campaign coupled with Champions League football.
Liverpool head coach, Jurgen Klopp, speaking after the match, said;
"It was, in a lot of moments, very unlucky for us but I don't think we have to think too much about luck or something like this because we cannot change luck, but we can change performance,"
"I know it's difficult after the international break because they played in different positions, had different jobs to do, different systems and all that stuff, so it's always difficult, but I thought we should have been in the lead in the first half. At 1-0 it was 11 versus 11 and it was a moment when we were in possession, everything was good.

"I know we can be really good, so after we have spoken about this I will try to help the boys to ignore the result today -- not the mistakes we did -- but the result because it's already done.

"We should have scored, we should have had more chances. Mo [Salah] was three or four times on the touchline in the 18-yard box, or even in the six-yard box, and you have to find someone, but nobody was at the front post, nobody.

"Yes, with one man down against City, it is really not the best place to be, but we do it a lot of training -- we defend with only seven players against 14.

"It was difficult, but we could have done better in the second half. I am not concerned about this. It was a hard lesson today, but I know the boys are good enough and we will learn from it.

"What we also need to learn from the first half is that we need to influence the game in another direction, we need to score here. I think everyone saw it, so it was obviously obvious."
"[It was] an accident, [a] very unlucky situation," Klopp said. "Everybody knows Sadio didn't see the goalie, so it was not one second he had a look at the goalie or whatever. He just wanted to get the ball as soon as possible. That's what happened.

"It was a red card and we cannot change it anymore. Hopefully the goalie is not seriously injured. I think in the first moment when all the people were on the pitch, it looked like this. After the game he was running around in the dugout, so hopefully not too serious.

"[Mane is] very, very, very upset. We couldn't keep him up. He was shocked about the situation and -- I'm sure also -- about the decision.

"If the leg is not where the leg is you can also say it's a foul from the goalie. What can I say? It's a red card and I'm sure people will find enough reasons to say it was the right decision, so we cannot change it anymore. Of course it had a big influence on the game."

Do you think Liverpool can win the Premier League this season?
