hehehehe....The new coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has said he will use the
experience he got watching the NPFL All Stars during the La Liga
Invitational Tour, to focus more on stars in the domestic league.
Rohr watched two matches involving the NPFL All Stars, against Malaga and Atletico Madrid and says he was left impressed.
“I’m here to watch the games and then meet with everyone involved with the national teams,” Rohr told npfl.ng.
“All this is to make diagnostic of football in Nigeria. After meeting
with the coaches, like I have already done, I will meet with the
players, the staff and then the journalists,” the German said.
“We have to look beyond the results of the games in Spain and take positives in the talent that abound in Nigeria.”
Speaking ahead of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, Rohr admitted that
NIgeria was in a tough group, but is eager to start well against Zambia
in October.
“We hope to get a good result on the 3rd of October against Zambia then come back to two home games,” he added.
