EPL Review: Guardiola begins with win, Everton hold Spurs

hehehehe......Pep Guardiola’s era at Manchester City began with victory, after they battled to a 2-1 over Sunderland at the Etihad on Saturday. Sergio Aguero scored an early penalty to put City in front, but Jermaine Defoe equalized in the second half. Jesus Navas’ cross was deflected into his own net by Sunderland debutant, Paddy McNair, to give the hosts all three points.


Tottenham were held to a 1-1 draw by Everton at Goodison Park, while Swansea grabbed a late Leroy Fey winner to beat Burnley 1-0.

10-man Watford held Southampton to a 1-1 draw and Middlesbrough also played a 1-1 draw with Stoke City.
West Brom beat Crystal Palace 1-0, thanks to Salomon Rondon’s goal.
