After returning from Nigeria, footballer dies during training in Azerbaijan (pic)

so sad...A young Nigerian footballer, Michael Umanyika, died on Monday while training with Azerbaijani First Division club, Zagatala PFK.

Umanyika, who just returned from vacation in Nigeria, suddenly stopped and fell during a training session and all efforts to revive him proved futile. It has been reported that his death was almost instantaneous.

Monday’s training was the player’s first with Zagatala PFK after returning from vacation in Nigeria, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

The deceased joined Zagatala PFK last season and made 20 appearances for the club.
