First you directed the party, state exco and LG government and party officials to be the one to announce Mr Ede Dafinone declaration when he’s NOT yet the party’s candidate. We all laughed it off as your usual political naive self who just hates DSP Ovie Omo-Agege who you pleaded with to step down from the governor race for you in Abuja and he did after pressure from Abuja.
The opposition by Deltans and Urhobo to that grave mistake that could cause you your own election if not well handled and most importantly destroy the entire Urhobo nation on your clannish Okpe agenda to subjugate the remaining 23 kingdoms was enough for you to pull back, reflect and adjust to the new reality that Ede cannot fly as a Senator. You will chose to either be a governor or Ede as a Senator. The choice is yours.

Section 4: procedure for nomination of candidates
Sub Section; iv says
“Without prejudice to other provisions of this Article, the National Working Committee shall, subject to the approval of the National Executive Committee, make Rules and Regulations for the conduct of Party primaries in accordance with the extant Electoral Act (as amended). All such Rules, Regulations and Guidelines shall take into consideration and uphold the principle of Federal Character, gender balance, geo-political spread and rotation of offices, to as much as
possible ensure balance within the constituency covered”
The above AUTOMATICALLY disqualifies you or Ede from coming from the same constituency which Uvwie, Sapele and Okpe currently covers. Now you know.
Waking up this morning to now see that you have done the same thing in Delta South by using the State party to summon party members to Mr Joel Onowakpo’s declaration, who’s still a candidate like Malik Ikpokpo and Michael Diden Ejele is the height of betrayal from you.
How do you comfortably support Joel against Ejele even if you don’t like Malik? Same Ejele who imposed you as Speaker alongside Osanebi and Eric Oharisi is who you now openly work against? Have you no conscience?
Same Ejele who told Okowa alongside Eboigbe in the guise of a fake pastor prophecy to them for him to make you the PDP candidate even when you had and still do not have your own electoral value? He mobilized the entire Delta Political Vanguard for you and this is how you pay him back.
Have you not seen everywhere that Joel has lost Isoko to Malik? Has reality not stared at you that no one wants Joel back as a Senator again? When Keston Pondi met you to support Joel, you admitted to him that you didn’t know Joel’s case is this bad and hated by Delta South hence will be hard to support, yet you openly endorse him. Same Ejele that won all the Delta South apart from Isoko which he still won lots of votes and it took DSP Ovie Omo-Agege ordering the INEC man to return back to declare Joel winner in Isoko is who you now ride the wave against?
Okowa just made you a godson but didn’t teach you the political ropes. Did you see how Okowa stopped you from interfering in Delta North and went about his own declaration? He knew you will cause him more problems if you do similar thing you did in Urhobo and now doing in Delta South.
Back off NOW from this support for these individuals or get ready to pack out of Delta State Government House. Even Ibori and Okowa with all their political sagacity knew where to draw the lines when it has to do with Urhobo and Delta South. It always backfires. This is not a threat but a sincere and brutal advise from a long time friend to you my senior friend and political leader.
Urhobo pikin dey get sense na Speaker. We are not ingrate even though three Okpe sons such as you, Ede Dafinone and Paulinus Akpeki has shown how much of an ingrate you guys can be to your helpers.
This is not about my political support now for individuals but maintaining the unity of the Urhobo tribe and Delta State, for long after elections are over, this action of Sheriff Oborowheri will be here for a long time for us to deal with while he enjoys the money he may have gotten from the state, even though he will also suffer it’s consequences, one way or the other.
Stronger and more political savvy governors didn’t take this route and it cannot start with Sheriff. Delta State is not South West States where people are whipped into line. We are like the Igbos with the spirit of rebellion when a man want to tell us that he’s a god. Okowa’s 2023 election and Uduaghan’s 2014 primaries are still very fresh to learn from.
