**WORLD CANCER DAY 2026**

World Cancer Day 2026 is a powerful reminder of our shared responsibility to confront one of the greatest health challenges of our time. It is a day dedicated to raising awareness, promoting prevention, encouraging early detection, and standing in solidarity with millions of people affected by cancer across the world.

Cancer continues to claim lives, yet many forms are preventable, treatable, and even curable when detected early. Access to timely diagnosis, quality treatment, and continuous care remains essential. Equally important are public education, lifestyle modification, regular screening, and strong health systems that place people at the center of care.

On this World Cancer Day 2026, the **Nigerian Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners (NAGGMDP)**   DELTA STATE, renews its commitment to cancer advocacy, prevention, and early detection. We call on governments, healthcare workers, partners, and communities to unite in closing the cancer care gap and ensuring equitable access to lifesaving services for all.

Together, through awareness, action, and compassion, we can reduce the burden of cancer and give hope to every patient, every family, and every community.
