Fulani radio: MASSOB sends message to Yoruba, Ijaw, Igbo, Bini, Itshekiri, Idoma, Tiv, Igala, others

Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has noted that the protest against the Federal Government’s move to establish a radio station for Fulani herdsmen is a waste of time.

The group said that President Muhammadu Buhari will not listen to such protest.
It instead called on other ethnic nationalities in the country to establish their tribal radio stations for their people.
He reported on Tuesday that the Federal Government had confirmed the acquisition of an Amplitude Modulation radio broadcast licence, to reach herdsmen across various locations in the country.
The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, stated this in Abuja during an interview with newsmen.
Adamu said that the establishment of the radio frequency, was to end the perennial farmers-herders crises across the country.
The Minister explained that the radio service would operate on frequency of 720KHz and would air in Fulani language.
MASSOB leader, Comrade Uchenna Madu in a brief statement said Buhari has further displayed his true colour as a real fundamentalist who upholds and promotes his tribal and religious interest as paramount.
MASSOB said Buhari’s actions will continue to open and reawaken the consciousness of the people of the Niger Delta, Middle Belt, Oduduwa and Igbo for them to rise in defence of their future existence.
He added, “The Yoruba, Ijaw, Igbo, Bini, Itshekiri, Idoma, Tiv, Igala, Hausa, Middle Beltans and Niger Delta ethnic nationalities should immediately establish their tribal radio broadcasting services for their people.
“No oppressor or religious fundamentalist will ever listen to voice of reasoning or consider the people’s protests.”
