NASS siege: Ben Bruce gives FG 30 days to prosecute those behind Saraki impeachment plot

The Senator representing Bayelsa East in the National Assembly, Ben Murray-Bruce, has given the Federal Government a 30-day ultimatum to investigate and prosecute those who allegedly plotted to unseat Senate President Bukola Saraki, through a blockade of the National Assembly.

Bruce stated this after operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, had yesterday barricaded the National Assembly.
Recall that despite the action of the secret police, some PDP lawmakers, however, forced their way into the National Assembly complex in an attempt to scuttle any alleged move to impeach Saraki.
However, the All Progressives Congress, APC, has alleged that Saraki plotted the incident.
But in a tweet on Wednesday, Bruce said, “We give the Federal Government 30 days to investigate and try those behind the state sponsored terrorism whose purpose was to treasonably remove @BukolaSaraki illegally.
“Lawal Daura is a pawn, a patsy, a fall guy. There is a big masquerade behind him #FrustrateBuhariDictatorship”.
