The anti-graft agency in June visited the hotel and inscribed the "EFCC, Under Investigation" sign on its wall. Sources at the anti-graft agency said the inscription was placed there so as to prevent the former first lady from selling it as she is currently being investigated for corrupt practices while her husband was in office.
Mrs Jonathan has reportedly removed the inscription by using a gray paint on that section of the hotel wall.
The hotel which is not yet in use, has about 100 rooms, a gym, a fountain and other amenities.
