Suspected armed bandits have attacked the UBE Primary School in Rama, a village located about five kilometers from Birnin Gwari town in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of the State, abducting a yet-to-be ascertained number of pupils and teachers.
DailyTrust reports that the attack occurred around 9am on Monday while pupils were trooping into the school.
The Kaduna State Government has confirmed the abduction of pupils and teachers from a primary school in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of the State.
The abduction came after a similar attack was foiled in a secondary school in the state and Kaduna International airport senior staff quarters over the weekend.
Kaduna Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan who confirmed the incident said they are still obtaining details on the actual number of pupils and teachers reported to have been kidnapped.
He told newsmen;
“The Kaduna State Government is receiving security reports of kidnapping of some pupils and teachers in a primary school located in Rema, Birnin Gwari local government area.
“According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred at an LEA Primary School in the LGA.”
