The Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) has said that there are now 31,023 confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in 52 countries across Africa.
The health agency stated this in a tweet on its official Twitter handle on Sunday evening.
”COVID2019 update (6 pm EAT 26 April 2020).
“52@_AfricanUnion Member States reporting 31, 023 cases, 1,390 deaths, and 9,328 recoveries,” it said.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced another 81 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing to 1,273 the number of confirmed cases in the country as of Saturday night.
