Recall that Pope Francis announced the creation of the new Diocese out of the Catholic Diocese of Awka on March 5, 2020. Due to prohibition of large gatherings as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will not be open to the general public.
To ensure that the public has virtual presence at the event, the Chineto Ozigbo Foundation is sponsoring the LIVE Streaming of the event on the Social Media handles of the Diocese. This gesture is in addition to the foundation's sponsoring of the development of the Ekwulobia Diocese website http://www.ekwulobiadiocese.org/.
The foundation has also launched the development of a groundbreaking Digitization Roadmap for the Diocese.
Commenting on the gesture, the Founder of Chineto Ozigbo Foundation, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo said, “The Church is a strong pillar of our society. A stronger Diocese means a stronger community, stronger families, stronger youth. I count it a privilege to be able to support the Church in this way in her work to secure our future in our communities and with God.”
A respected banker and business leader, Mr. Ozigbo is also the immediate past President and Chief Executive Officer of Transcorp Plc.
Individuals from any part of the world who wishes to watch the LIVE Streaming of the Installation of Bishop Okpaleke should follow all the Ekwulobia Diocese Social Media handles below.
