Repent to avoid contracting Coronavirus – Nigerian evangelist

A video making the rounds on social media showed the moment an Evangelist in Enugu was seen asking passersby to repent to avoid contracting the deadly novel CoronaVirus.

The Evangelist, who was preaching in his native Igbo Dialect, can be heard calling whoever cared to listen to repent and give their life to Jesus Christ ; adding that when they do that, they’ll be immune to the virus.

The deadly virus was introduced into Nigeria by an Italian man who has since been quarantined and is reportedly recovering after being subjected to intensive care in Lagos.
The World Health Organization, WHO, has just declared Coronavirus a pandemic, with more than 118,000 cases in 114 countries and 4,291 deaths.

“We have called every day for countries to take urgent and aggressive action. We have rung the alarm bell loud and clear,” WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Wednesday.

United States President Donald Trump has sought to calm fears of the virus and said he would use all government resources necessary to combat it.

“I am fully prepared to use the full power of the federal government to deal with our current challenge of the coronavirus!” the Republican president said on Twitter.
