COVID-19 IN UI........University of Ibadan College of Medicine Provost and Deputy Provost test positive for coronavirus

University of Ibadan College of Medicine Provost and Deputy Provost test positive for coronavirus
The provost and deputy provost of the University of Ibadan’s College of Medicine, Professors Oluwabunmi Olapade-Olaopa and Obafunke Denloye have both tested positive for COVID-19. 


This was confirmed in a Whatsapp group message Prof Olapade-Olaopa sent out on Sunday morning.  The message read; 

 “Dear colleagues, I wish to inform you that the deputy provost and I tested positive for the COVID-19 following the tests done on Friday.
“Although we are both asymptomatic, we have gone into self-isolation for the 14 days while our contacts are being observed closely to determine if they should also be tested.”

The University's management also confirmed the development in a tweet. The tweet reads; 

University of Ibadan College of Medicine Provost and Deputy Provost test positive for coronavirus

This is coming after the Medical Director of the University College Hospital Ibadan, Prof Jesse A. Otegbayo confirmed that he also tested positive for coronavirus.
