Gawat Jubril, the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State in New Media, was called out after he took to Twitter to write about the first ever virtual meeting held by Lagos State excos amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Due to the stay-at-home order resulting from the coronavirus outbreak, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu held a virtual meeting with some executives, as opposed to meeting physically.
Gawat Jubril took to Twitter to call this virtual meeting a historic event.
He wrote: "Flash: Lagos State exco makes history with first-ever virtual meeting."
Nigerians reacted by slamming him for "boasting with something as basic as a virtual conference" that others have been doing for years.
