N48bn asset: You have to explain your source of wealth- APC to Governor Makinde

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state has been asked to come forward to explain his source of wealth. The APC in Oyo state made this demand barely 24 hours after the governor published his certified Asset Declaration Form which showed he was worth over N48 billion.


Reacting to this development, the chairman of the Oyo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Akin Oke, in a chat with newsmen, said the governor must explain the source of his wealth.

According to Oke, Governor Makinde just declared what he has in assets but he did not disclose how he came about such an enormous amount of wealth. Oke stressed that it was important for the governor to come forward and give a detailed explanation on how he made such money.

The governor is yet to react to this demand made by the opposition party.
