and reality television star, Debbie-Rise, has made a big announcement
with regards to her career which was for her, a rebirth.
Former Big Brother Naija reality show star, Olurishe Deborah Ebun,
popularly known as Debie-Rise, who was one of the housemates that
featured in last season's TV show, has made a big announcement with
regards to her stage name and career.
The singer took to her Instagram page to announce that she has
officially changed her professional name from Debie-Rise to Deborah
Rise, saying that the change of name was, for her, a rebirth of some
sort.
She has also released a gospel song titled "My Choice" which embodies her change and conversion into the Christian faith.
Deborah Rise, shared some posts and captions while introducing her brand new self to her fans and followers.
She started off with a video of her cutting her hair. The act of
shaving her hair off was meant to be a symbolic representation of change
and regeneration. Then, the lady went on to say that she would be
making several rounds of announcement.
This was followed by a couple of pictures and then a significant
post that very much conveyed her entire message where she wrote:
"The 3rd Announcement! I am Deborah Rise and this is a Rebirth!
Choose you this day whom ye will serve! As for me - Deborah Rise, I and
all my talents will Serve The LORD! And this is My Choice. What’s
yours?"
Many fans have reacted to the lady's decision to be a gospel artist
just as they have given their opinion about her change in name.
