'' Security agents harassing PDP voters''
Security operatives have arrested three men for allegedly carrying charms and banned substances during the supplementary election in Osun State.
They were arrested in Osogbo where supplementary election is also being held, while another man, a resident of the street where the polling units are situated, was dragged and teargassed. He was allegedly taking pictures from his balcony.
This is part of the pockets of incidents that have been reported in the ongoing supplementary election. Earlier, the police arrested a man perceived to be obstructing the voting process at a polling unit in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
Osun state Police Command has arrested sixteen suspected fake election observers in the ongoing governorship election rerun in Osun state.
According to reports, the all-male suspects were apprehended at Orolu in possession of customised INEC Observers tags, face caps, jackets and PDP Membership cards.
According to the statement by Police PRO, Folashade Odoro, the paraded suspects include a PDP House of representatives aspirant in Orolu Federal Constituency, Moshood Adejare and other PDP members.
The Police also debunked reports that some accredited INEC Observers were arrested or denied access to polling units.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC says it has resolved all issues of access to polling units by voters, accredited media and observers in the Osun State governorship election re-run.
It also said, 'the exercise is going on well in all the units in spite of the heavy rain in some areas'.
