2019 GO HOT.........Details of Obasanjo’s meeting with Ladoja, Sunmonu, other ADC stalwarts emerge


Full gist of yesterday’s closed-door meeting attended by some political gladiators in Oyo State, former President Olusegun Obasanjo and leaders of African Democratic Congress (ADC) have emerge, Fidelis Chidi Blog can authoritatively report.

Recall that the meeting, which was held behind closed doors at Obasanjo’s Abeokuta residence on Wednesday, had in attendance: former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, former secretaries to the state government, Chief Olayiwola Olakojo, Dr. Busari Adebisi and Barrister Sarafadeen Alli.
Others include: Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, Deputy Speaker of the state house of Assembly, Hon. Musa Abdulwasiu, Hon. Muideen Olagunju, Hon. Bolaji Badmus, Hon. Fatai Adesina, Alhaji Kayode Adanla, Hon. Akeem Olatunji and Hon. Afeez Adeleke.
Fidelis Chidi Blog gathered on Thursday morning that leaders during the meeting with Obasanjo and ADC stalwarts resolved to constitute a nine-man caretaker committee headed by Dr. Femi Majekodunmi, an indigene of Ogun State and a close ally to the former president.
Other members of the committee set up during the yesterday’s meeting, billed to organize forthcoming ward, local and state congresses of the party, according to the source are: Dr. Ajadi, who will serve as Secretary, Reverend Ezekiel and Dr. Busari Adebisi.
Others are: Senator Rasidi Ladoja, Chief Michael Koleosho, Chief Olayiwola Olakojo, Senator representing Oyo Central district, Monsurat Sunmonu and former member of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Fatai Salam.
The source told us  that the committee set up yesterday at the meeting would be inaugurated at an event centre within Ibadan, the state capital, by 1pm on Thursday.
He added that the leaders, during the meeting with Obasanjo, charged the committee to take over the affairs of the party and management of all its properties and materials, noting that they are to supervise the conduct of an “all inclusive congresses from the wards to state level”.
He said that the ward and local government congresses, which were scheduled for morning and afternoon on 7th August, 2018, will now hold on the 7th and 8th of August 2018 respectively while the state congress will still hold on the 11th of August 2018.
