CHEI..... Photos Of Sapele General Hospital Where Rechargeable Lamps And Torch Lights Are Used To Work At Night

Chei......Workers at the Sapele General Hospital, Delta State have lamented the horrible state of the health facilities. They accused the State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, a medical doctor, who recently welcomed his grandchild in a foreign hospital, of total neglect.

The situation is so bad that they use rechargeable lamps and torch lights to work at night as the power supply has been nothing but dismal.

A patient who spoke to Sahara Reporters said that they provide mosquito nets by themselves as almost all the ones in the wards are torn.

"The state is one of the richest in terms of federal allocation, yet patients cannot have mosquito nets provided for them. The ambulance in this hospital does not work. Sapele General Hospital is a mess,” said the patient."

According to reports, the windows are broken, beds in sorry states, doctors and nurses are usually not in their duty posts and patients are badly treated.
