Senator Dino Melaye
Senator Dino Melaye of the All Progressives Congress has been in
the news of recent over scathing allegation of certificate forgery from
which he was recently cleared.
Some of the actions taken by the politician in the last couple of
days have made the headlines with some critics questioning his status as
one of the prominent Nigerian lawmakers.
The controversial senator has continued to taunt people he calls
his enemies. He even went as far as recording a video and uploading it
on social media, in which he said his enemies will be put to shame with a
dance of mockery to spice it up.
From his physical appearance, advocacy, words and actions of late, much comic relief has been generated on social media.
See the interesting pictures below depicting Mr. Melaye as a talented comedian:
1. When he dressed up as a northern ruler: Dino
Melaye dressed as a ruler from northern Nigeria. He looks very much like
Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. Yet, Dino is from Kogi state.
2. Fighting: In a manner unworthy of a House of
Representatives member, Dino Melaye was involved in a fight which left
his clothes torn, yet we see him smiling at the camera.
3. Full traditional regalia: Despite not being a
traditional ruler in his state, Dino Melaye caused a stir at the plenary
with a complete regalia flaunting his local culture. This happened
during the time the 2015 national budget went missing. Social media
users ridiculously accused him of hiding the budget under his clothes.
4. When he remembered his hustling days: This one
was especially funny. So, Dino Melaye posted on social media that he was
once a hawker, and had to put a tray of groundnuts on his head to prove
his point.
5. He stormed the Red Chamber in academic gown:
When someone accuses you of not being a graduate, Dino Melaye says the
best thing is to put on a graduation gown, next time you meet the
person.
6. When he taunted Tinubu: This happened after he
had a brawl with Senator Remi Tinubu and Lagosians took to social media
to dare him to enter Lagos where the great politician, Asiwaju Bola
Ahmed Tinubu has a huge fan base.
7. He mocked his traducers with a Yoruba song:
This was quick a response after the certificate scandal clearance by the
Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions
