Just as their counterparts have now gathered at National Stadium to begin the protest, residents in Abuja have also started to arrive at Unity Fountain, Abuja to commence the movement. Anti riot Police vans have been spotted there. See more photos abeg

Lagos State commissioner of police, Fatai Owoseni, was spotted as he walked down with protesters in Lagos to the National theatre.

There were reports earlier that the Nigeria police took over National Stadium, venue of  nationwide protest.

But according to Nigerian actor, Baaj Adebule, who is currently at the protest venue, the policemen are there to protect and ensure a peaceful protest, not disrupt. See another tweet below...
