hehehehe......Former president of The Gambia, Yahyah Jammeh left the country aboard a private jet owned by All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
According to The Nation, Tinubu authorized that his private aircraft be used to fly Jammeh out of Banjul.
After agreeing to leave, Jammeh was confronted with the challenge of how to leave the country.
The leaders reached out to Tinubu over his VP-CBT Falcon Jet.
Tinubu reportedly gave a condition: it should only be used “if it will facilitate the quick exit of Jammeh and lead to the restoration of peace and democracy in The Gambia”.
It is also understood that Senegal insisted on knowing those on board, before allowing the plane over its airspace.
Jammeh has since arrived in Equitorial Guinea, where he will be on exile, after ruling The Gambia for 22 years.
Adama Barrow has since been sworn in as his successor.
More than $11m (£8.8m) is missing from The Gambia's state coffers following the departure of long-time leader Yahya Jammeh, an adviser to President Adama Barrow has said, BBC reports.
Luxury cars and other items were reportedly loaded on to a Chadian cargo plane as Mr Jammeh left the country.
After 22 years in power, Mr Jammeh flew into exile on Saturday. He had refused to accept election results but finally left after mediation by regional leaders and the threat of military intervention.
