hehehe....He will go very far....Victor Osimhem has joined the camp of
the Flying Eagles as they prepare for the game against Burundi. He
strolled into camp of the just minutes before the kick-off of the UEFA
Champions League match between Real Madrid and his German club, VFL
Wolfsburg on Tuesday night.
He was very confident of his team
winning, knowing that they held a 2-0 first leg advantage, but was
disappointed to see Cristiano Ronaldo produce another of his magic to
give the Les Merengues a 3-2 aggregate victory.
FIFA U-17 World Cup record scorer,
Victor Osimhen, was really disappointed with the score line but he is
more focused on the task ahead. After scoring 10 goals at the FIFA U-17
World Cup in Chile, Osimhen returns to familiar terrain with former team
mates as the build up to the FIFA U-20 World Cup in South Korea begins.
The Eagles held their training as early
as 6.45am on Wednesday the FIFA Goal Project pitch at the Package B of
the National Stadium in Abuja for Day 7 of their camping.
He said, “l am here to show the coaches what I can do. I have trained very hard to be here and just want to play football.”
The Flying Eagles will take on Burundi
in their first match of the 2017 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations qualifying
series away in Bujumbura on the weekend of May 20-22.
Over 50 players are battling at the twice-daily training as the fight for jerseys intensifies.
