ABEG FUEL IS HOW MUCH IN YOUR AREA ? FG fails to keep its promise as fuel scarcity lingers, sells above N150 per litre across Nigeria

Buhari (2)
hehehe..For the third consecutive time, the federal government of Nigeria has failed to keep its promise regarding the lingering scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit, otherwise known as fuel. The state minister for petroleum, Ibe Kachichwu, had promised on three occasions that the fuel scarcity would end in “matter of days”.

In one of such, he said: “We have asked DPR to deploy officials to ensure products are sold at the right price because is only through price stabilization that these queues will disappear.
“We are delivering about 1,200 trucks, by weekend we should be delivering same number of trucks, it will take a bit of days to even out but you can see improvement already.
“I hope by the end of next week with the refineries helping us to stay on course, every part of the country will get fuel,” the minister assured last week during the Federal Executive Council meeting.
However, checks across major cities in Nigeria by this newspaper on Friday show that the product is not yet available despite the promises by the minister.
In Abuja, the nation’s capital, long queues were seen at most filling stations in the city.
Checks at most fuel stations at Karu show that the product was selling between N180 and 200 per litre.
In Owerri, the Imo State capital, independent marketers still sold petrol between N150 and N170 per litre.
In Lagos, the nation’s former capital, the product is still selling above normal price.
Our correspondent in the nation’s commercial hub reports that aside the long queue at most filling stations, many of the marketers were selling between 150 to 180 per litre.
In Benue State, most filling stations across the state were under lock and key, except for black marketers who were seen parading streets with jerry cans.
