According to the Express, Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has grown tired of the fitness issues surrounding German International Mesut Ozil and is prepared to make a bold move for Dortmund’s £18m rated star, Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The Armenian joined Borussia Dortmund in 2013 from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk and has been one of the stars in the German Bundesliga alongside teammates Marco Reus and IIkay Gundogan.
However, the player has struggled for form this season – coupled with multiple injuries to key players, Dortmund are currently faced with relegation dog fight which may see the player seek a move to England after Liverpool first made enquires for his services at the summer.
Wenger is a huge fan of the player and believes he can beat Liverpool to the signing of the player like he did with Alexis Sanchez at the start of the season. Although the Frenchman’s biggest priority is to bring in a defender but the Armenian’s availability for the right price in January could be a good deal.
