Valdes to join Manchester United

Manchester United have confirmed that Victor Valdes, has been offered the opportunity to join the club and work on his fitness.
The goalkeeper has been out of action since March, after he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury while at Barcelona and is currently a free agent, after his contract with the La Liga side expired in June.
Valdes has been linked with moves to Monaco and Liverpool, but none of them saw the light of day and he is now heading to Old Trafford.
“Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has offered the 32-year-old former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes a chance to complete his rehabilitation from a knee injury and to work his way back to fitness with the club,” a club statement read.
“Valdes, a free agent, will have his recovery supervised by the United medical staff before training with the first team, as he bids to regain full fitness.”
