Don’t support your son, he will destroy Nigeria – Buhari tells Jonathan’s kinsmen

Buhari10
2015 go hot sha...hehehe....A former Head of State and All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant, General Muhamadu Buhari has called on the people of Bayelsa State not to support their son, President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 presidential election.
Speaking at the APC Secretariat in Yenagoa yesterday, the ex-warlord accused the ruling party of destroying the country with the sustenance of corruption and its inability to secure lives and properties.
Buhari told the mammoth crowd that came to welcome him to vote out the PDP government in 2015 to end the era of corruption in the country.
He said he was in the state to interact with the delegates ahead of the December 10 presidential primaries of the party.
His words, “What is wrong with Nigeria? What is wrong is massive corruption and the commentators have said it and written about it, and I believe them, if we don’t kill corruption in Nigeria, corruption would kill us. If Nigerians make the wrong choice, as they have done since 1999, they will pay the price.
“If you want to know how much we have been suffering for the last 15 years under the PDP, try and imagine what was our condition in 1999. We will use the Nigerian Airways and the Nigerian Shipping Line. The roads were not too bad. The most important among these, I supposed, was the industrialization and the creation of jobs, goods and services through what is called NEPA or Power Holding Company of Nigeria.
“But after spending so much, United States dollars, we are still where we are. Nigerians have abundant resources. God has endowed us with petroleum and some mineral resources, a lot of land for farming. But the educational standards have gone haywire. The infrastructure are gone. The institutions, I have just learnt, have disappeared. If you find out how much we have earned till date, you will be amazed.”
On the war against Boko Haram, Buhari noted that the corruption being perpetrated by the PDP government had rendered the military weak and incapable of arresting the insurgency in the North-eastern states.
“The National Assembly became concerned about the performance of the military in the field. In the media interview conducted, soldiers said they were ordered to face Boko Haram without appropriate weapons and ammunition. Even their leadership ran away.
“The National Assembly was again concerned. They went and dug out the budgets allocated to the military in the last three or four years. They dug out monies allocated to the government to go and buy weapons to distribute to the military and prepare them to defend the nation. But the hearing was frustrated. The message is absolutely clear to Nigerians now. If you don’t remove the PDP next year, they are going to kill this country”, Buhari warned.

Obasanjo blasts Jonathan again...rubbishes National Assembly, says it’s an assembly of thieves, looters

Hehehe...i know sey baba rule for almost many years we nor see changes......Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on Nov. 26th rubbished the National Assembly, saying it is an Assembly of looters and thieves. He said this while speaking at the public presentation of the autobiography of Justice Mustapha Akanbi, in Abuja. Some of what he said
"Apart from shrouding the remunerations of the National Assembly in opaqueness and without transparency, they indulge in extorting money from departments, contractors and ministries in two ways"
"They do so during visits to their projects and programmes and in the process of budget approval when they build up budgets for ministries and departments, who agree to give it back to them in contracts that they do not execute. They do similar things during their inquiries.”
"Corruption in the National Assembly also includes what they call constituency projects which they give to their agents to execute but invariably, full payment is made with little or no job done. In all this, if the executive is not absolutely above board, the offending members of the National Assembly resort to subtle or open threat, intimidation and blackmail. When the executive pay the huge money, normally in millions of dollars, all is quiet in form of whitewashed reports that fail to deal effectively with the issues investigated.”
"When the guard is the thief, only God can keep the house safe and secure. But I am optimistic that sooner than later, we will overcome. God will give us guards of integrity and honesty with the fear of God and genuine love of their people and their country.
“Today, there is no institution of government that is not riddled with corruption, not even the military. As the people cry out, where then is the salvation.” Obasanjo said

Hmmm...FG bans the use of phones in Nigerian prisons

oko.......Following the recent jailbreak attempt in some Nigerian prisons in recent times, the Federal govt today banned the use of phones by both prisoners and prison officials within the prison premises.

The ban was pronounced by Minister of Interior Affairs, Abba Moro while speaking with some senior prison officials in Abuja.
"I have visited some prisons in other countries as the Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Nobody, no matter how highly placed you are, you don’t come to prison with your phones, not even the minister of Interior as the supervising minister over the prisons. So, why are you an exception?. Henceforth, no matter who you are including myself, nobody goes into prison with telephones."
And so, as you are going from here, create a meeting platform where all the officers that work in the prisons as they walk into prisons, they submit their phones and collect them when they close.”
The Minister also directed that all the phones on all inmates should be confiscated withing 30 days

FG to slash petroleum subsidy by half in 2015

House-of-Rep-on-subsidy
okoooo....The Federal Government has made known its intention to cut subsidies on petroleum products by half next year after sharp falls in global crude prices led to a downward review of its 2015 budget. It also assumed further cuts to petrol subsidies in 2016 to N408.68 billion and N371.18 billion for 2017.
We gathered in the course of last week that President Goodluck Jonathan has submitted the revised budget figures to lawmakers, proposing to spend 458.68 billion naira ($2.59 bn) on petrol subsidy in 2015, down from 971.14 billion naira presented for 2014.
Similarly, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, in a recent interview with Reuters noted that the declines in the price of oil, which has lost almost 30 percent since July, would impact the economy, requiring the Nigerian government to cut non-essential spending and raise more revenues.
She had proposed lowering the assumed oil benchmark for the 2015 budget to $73 per barrel from the $78 proposed in September, after global crude prices collapsed.
It would be recalled that the Federal Government tried to end subsidy in 2012 in an effort to cut government spending and encourage badly needed investment in local refining, doubling the price of a litre of petrol overnight to about 150 naira ($0.93) from about 65 naira.
The budget proposals assumed an exchange rate of N162 to the US dollar for 2015, weaker than N160 naira assumed for 2014. It expects the naira to weaken further to N163.50 in 2016, climaxing to N165 in 2017.

Atiku group boasts of winning should APC primaries hold today

Atiku1dp
hehehe..2015 sha...The Atiku Campaign Organization, ACO, has boasted of securing at least 60 percent of All Progressives Congress, APC, delegates’ support across the country, exuding absolute confidence that it can achieve an outright win if the elections were to hold today.
The organization’s spokesman, Garba Shehu, announced this in an interview on Sunday where he linked this optimism to the “relentless hard work” which has become the norm of the ACO.
Hear him, “The Vice President is not resting. In the last couple of weeks, there is no day he does not leave his family and home to the states in the hunt for delegates. On some days, he covers up to three states.”
He dismissed insinuations in sections of the media that it was wrong for his boss, Atiku, to be making monetary donations to “destitute” branches of the party in states where they do not control the state government.
“People who say individuals cannot make donations for the upkeep of their party don’t know what politics is all about. If we don’t develop our party by ourselves, who is going to do that for us? Are we to wait for the government to grow our party? It is laughable of anyone to say that our laws don’t permit donations for the upkeep of our parties. How else can they survive?” Garba queried.
According to him, the said donation has been made to all state secretariats in non-APC-controlled states, adding that these chapters of the party tend to be starved of running funds, and since joining the party, Atiku has been making such donations to them.
Going down memory lane, he pointed out that Atiku has constantly funded party development like he did with Shehu Yar’Adua Group, SDP, PDP and now the APC, stressing that the former Vice President paid up the founding costs of PDP, including purchase of secretariat and running costs.
Garba asserted that the Atiku Centre will continue supporting democratic development in Nigeria and Africa long after Atiku has retired from active politics, at it is what he loves doing.

I have not slept with another woman since I got married in 2007- Actor Kenneth Okonkwo

Do you believe him ...hehehe...Actor and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, in an interview with City People mag this week said since he got married to his wife Ifeoma in 2007, he has been 100% faithful
"Since I got married, I have not had a carnal knowledge of any other lady but I have been very close to it, been tempted but Jesus has been helping me, it has not happened" He said. Continue..
He said as an actor who is always on location, whenever he has the urge for sex, he takes an excuse and leaves the location to go meet his wife...
"What does it take? If I am on location and I feel the need, I can fly in, see my babe and fly back to location. At times I would be on location and after a while, I will scream I just have to go home. I don't know how my body is feeling. I am that straight forward. I will announce it in public. And if I don't run that time, something will happen" he said

Obasanjo allowed Boko Haram to grow – Buruji Kashamu

download
Hehehe....A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Chairman, Organization and Mobilization Committee of the party in the South West, Prince Buruji Kashamu, yesterday, said the wave of insurgency being witnessed in the North Eastern states of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe States started during the administration of former President, Olusegun Obasanjo.
Kashamu, an ex-Obasanjo close associate, disclosed this in a statement he released yesterday.
According to him, Obasanjo looked away when he should have nipped insurgency in the bud few years ago when he downplayed the issue of Sharia law implementation.
He described Obasanjo’s statement on President Goodluck Jonathan’s performance as “self-serving, unjustifiable and totally unwarranted”.
He said, contrary to Obasanjo’s claims, Jonathan has performed above average and deserves a second term.
The statement reads in part: “It is utterly nauseating how he catches on the slightest opportunity to publicly cast aspersion on President Jonathan, with the intent of inciting the people against the President and swaying public opinion against him.
“If this occasional outburst is how he wants to regain his lost political relevance in the South West, then it would be counterproductive. We thank God that since he turned his back on the PDP, the party has been repositioned and we have been winning elections fair and square.
“It is high time Obasanjo is reminded that he is not the only former leader in this country. If he is not content with tending to his chicken and farm, at his age and level, he should commit himself to courses that would outlive him.
“He should be told to shed off the implacably cantankerous image that he has cut for himself and take on a more ennobling character trait. After all, the Yoruba would say “T’eyan ba dagba, o ma yogun ja ni (an aged person stops going to the battle field).
“Obasanjo should have nipped Boko Haram in the bud when he was the President but he looked away and down played it when some Northern states adopted the Sharia criminal codes saying it was “political sharia”, now, Boko Haram says it is fighting to have country governed with the same Sharia criminal codes…”
According to Kashamu, the Jonathan administration has achieved so much despite the security challenges facing the nation. He said the present administration has set Nigeria in the right direction, making her to be one of the 26th largest economy in the world and the largest in Africa, with half a trillion naira Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Chai.. These men strip naked in fight against homophobia

hhahaa.... Men that have sense! Stripping naked for a cause...:-). 17 members of the University of Nottingham hockey team stripped naked to fight homophobia in sports. The team were filmed playing hockey naked, and then talking about discrimination against gays in sports in a video released last week.

The team did the video in collaboration with Voice Your Rights Project, a student group in their school whose mission is for all people "to live in a society in which every person is respected and treated as equals."

VYRP said they came up with the idea for the guys to strip naked because they knew that would get them more attention.

Explosion rocks Cross River PDP secretariat

Viewpoint illustrationUnion Bank

A loud explosion suspected to be bomb blast has hit the Peoples Democratic Party secretariat in Calabar, Cross River State.
The incident, which happened at the PDP secretariat along the Murtala Mohammed Highway at about 5.30am on Monday, also affected several buildings within the vicinity.
Our correspondent, who  visited the scene at about 6.30am, observed the high  presence of heavily armed policemen and soldiers who barred taking of pictures.
Although no group has claimed responsibility, it should be noted that the secretariat had been under lock following controversies that trailed the November 1 wards delegate election.
However, one of the residents of the area, Joel Ogunlana, said he felt the effect of the blast in his building which is 300 metres away.
“I heard a loud bang and everywhere started shaking. I thought the house was going to collapse,” he said.
In the compound that shares the same fence with the secretariat from behind, several glass doors and windows were shattered.
Policemen rebuffed attempt to even speak with neighbours at that building as they threatened to unleash terror on our correspondent.
Some of the overzealous security personnel jumped over the fence with their guns and threatened to deal with our correspondent and smash his phone if he did not leave at once.
However, confirming the incident, the state chairman of the party, Mr John Okon, said “I understand they threw in a bomb or dynamite or something. The police are there and the anti-bomb squad are on the way. We would not be able to use the secretariat for the ward congresses. We would be using the Presidential Lodge. All the electoral officers are collecting their materials and going to the field. The windows and other things inside the office were destroyed.”
A statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Hogan Bassey, read, “Early today, 24th November at about 0535 hours, hoodlums who were unable to penetrate the heavily fortified secretariat by officers and men of the Command threw an explosive device from behind the premises into the building. The explosion only shattered some louvers on the ground floor. No life was lost and nobody sustained injury.”
Chief Fire Officer of the Quick Intervention Squad of the Emergency Response Centre, Ugbong Celestine, who arrived the secretariat at about 11am said he was called by his coordinator that there was a blast and fire and they came for rescue operations.
There was heavy presence of heavily armed security agents at the Presidential Lodge. Journalists were not allowed inside. The security agents said they were under strict instructions not to let anyone inside.
Reacting to the developments, Director-General of the Ndoma-Egba campaign organization, Mr Ernest Irek, said, “They are militarizing a simple thing as ward congresses and chasing away party members.”

It’s pointless to hang around when you’ve failed” – NFF official tells Keshi to quit

Keshi wipes eye
okoooo....Stephen Keshi has been advised to do the ‘honourable’ thing and leave his post as Nigeria coach, after the team failed to qualify for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
The current African champions needed to beat South Africa at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, but ended up fighting back to draw 2-2 against the Bafana Bafana – a result that ended their hopes of defending their crown in Equatorial Guinea.
“Walking away honourably would be the smartest thing for Stephen Keshi,” a top NFF official told BBC Sport.
“It’s pointless to hang around when you’ve failed, have been completely rejected by the NFF and are unwanted by disappointed football fans.”
Keshi was initially sacked by the NFF, but President Goodluck Jonathan’s intervention saw him reinstated for the last two qualifying games against Congo and South Africa. He is currently without a contract with the federation and has refused to comment on if he will stay on or quit.
“He does not have any contractual obligations with the federation; remember the board also offered to sponsor him and his assistants to managerial courses with good intention,” the NFF official added.
“He will probably get a job elsewhere before January but the country will not get the opportunity to play at the next Nations Cup.”

Oh dear...These two great men are dead....See them
