okooo.....The Delta State Police Command has debunked a media report published last Sunday that a chicken allegedly pecked a buyer to coma in Asaba.
Command’s spokesperson, DSP Celestina Kalu in a statement Monday in Asaba, debunked the chicken attack report which the reporter alleged was confirmed by the police authorities in the state.
She said: “The attention of the Delta Police Command has been drawn to a false and misleading publication with caption “Chicken Pecks buyer to Coma in Asaba.”
“The report, which was published on page 5 of Sunday Punch of January 3rd 2016, was written by one Nosa Akensua.”

Wow....The Bishop of Orlu Catholic Diocese, Most Rev. Augustine Ukwuoma on Friday unveiled the African tallest statue of Jesus Christ weighing 8.5 metres (28 ft) at St. Aloysius Catholic Parish, Abajah, Imo.
The statue made of marble is bigger than the 20 metres (66 foot) Ramesses ii Abusimbel statue in Egypt.
Ukwuoma Performed the ceremony shortly after a mass attended by the Bishop Emeritus of Orlu Diocese, Most Rev. Gregory Ochiagha, and more than 100 priests at St. Aloysius Parish Abajah compound on Friday.

Abductors of mother of Okowa’s aide demand N35m ransom

Hmmm....Abductors of Mrs Queen Eyetan Egbedi, 73, mother of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s Senior Special Assistant on Agriculture, Julius Egbedi, yesterday demand a ransom of N35m.
She was kidnapped at about 11pm on Sunday December 27 at her country home in Ituru-Elume.
The kidnappers, according to Vanguard, came in a Jetta car while another said they came in an Audi 80 car, parked at a distance of about a hundred yards and walked to the house, dragged her away into the car and sped off that night.

Financial crisis: Nigeria needs divine intervention, says Aregbesola
