Nigeria Election Result: Shehu Sani reacts as he loses polling unit


Shehu Sani, the Senator representing Kadina Central has reacted to results from 2019 presidential and National Assembly elections.

Sani, who lost his polling unit to the All Progressive Candidate, APC, in Saturday’s presidential elections. took to his Twitter page thanking the electorates for voting for him despite all odds.
Assistant Polling Officer, (APO) Umar Mohammed Sanusi had announced that Sani pulled 51 votes, as against his APC candidate Malam Uba Sani who scored 236 votes.
The Senator, who joined Peoples Redemption Party, also in results announced from 023 polling unit U/Pama Sabon Tasha Ward Chikun, polled 266 votes while Malam Uba Sani of APC trailed with 25 votes.
Reacting, Sani on his Twitter page wrote: “We appreciate every vote we honestly earned and not under anyone’s shadow or inducements in Kaduna Central.
“We remain unwavering in the defense of the ideals we stand for. We proudly stood tall with our heights and not with the glory of a borrowed high heels.”
