IGP orders investigation into Police killing of an unarmed man in Benin
The Acting Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Adamu has ordered an
investigation into the extra-judicial Police killing of an unarmed man
in Benin, Edo State earlier today. A video had surfaced online today show some armed security operatives rounding up some young men, during which one of them made to run. He was immediately shot in the back by one of the armed operatives.
A man identified as @CarrickDublin on Instagram shared the video of the Police brutality online.
The IGP has however ordered that an investigation be kicked
off into the sad incident. This was made known by the Force PRO Frank
Mba through the Police social media page

An unarmed man in Benin has allegedly been shot dead by policemen on Tuesday morning, January 29th.

According to Instagram user, @CarrickDublin who shared a video of the Police brutality online, the suspect was fleeing the scene after he was apprehended when the police shot at him.
“This happened
in Benin city some Armed police men caught some innocents boy’s and
they were not with any weapon,Then one was trying to Escape and he was
shoot dead at the spot…..The Questions is What’s is happening in
Nigeria?,”@CarrickDublin wrote.
