APC accuses Governor Nyesom Wike of planning to help Ayo Fayose pay Ekiti state workers their six months salary arrears

APC accuses Governor Nyesom Wike of planning to help Ayo Fayose pay Ekiti state workers their six months salary arrears
hehe...........The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has accused Governor Nyesom Wike, of planning to pay six months’ salary arrears of civil servants in Ekiti State ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in that state.

The APC, in a statement signed by the state publicity secretary, Senibo Chris Finebone, called on the people of the state to protest against the governor’s decision to embark on another wasteful spending of the resources of the state.
The statement reads in part
“The Rivers State Chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed what first came out as a rumour that the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has concluded plans to pay off six months’ salary arrears the government of Ekiti State is owing its workers ahead of the forth coming governorship election in that state.
The curious bailout Governor Wike is about offering his Ekiti State counterpart, Ayo Fayose, will be coming against the backdrop of imminent reduction of the number of civil servants of Rivers State which Governor Wike has ordered. It comes against a decaying secretariat complex where Rivers State civil servants endure untold inconveniences every working day. Indeed, it comes against the suffering of pensioners owed several months of gratuity and pension.
Paradoxically, even political appointees of Governor Wike are enduring untold hardship, suffering and smiling except for the select cabal popularly referred to as Cardinals. The APC recalls that after the defeat of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2015 presidential elections, Governor Nyesom Wike effectively took over control of the party nationally and has since been spending billions of naira belonging to Rivers taxpayers to sustain the PDP''.
