hehehe.........Health workers under the aegis of
the Nigerian Union of Allied Health Professionals (NUAHP) have
threatened to embark on an indefinite industrial action if the Federal
Government fails to address its demands by 27th of this month.
The
union comprises pharmacists, physiotherapists, dental technologists,
occupational therapists, medical lab scientists, dental technologists,
health information managers, dieticians and other related professionals
except doctors and nurses.
Speaking
during a protest organized by the union yesterday in Abuja, President
of NUAHP, Comrade Ogbonna Obinna said the union had earlier given the
Federal Ministry of Health a-30 day-ultimatum but had not received any
invitation till date. He added that the union had only restrained its
members till now because of the effect industrial actions have on the
masses.
