hehehehe.....The Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, Danladi Umar, said on Tuesday that he has other important things to do, as he adjourned the trial of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki till January 11.
Umar while adjourning the ongoing trial on Tuesday said he had “other important things to attend to.”
Earlier, Counsel to the Senate President, Paul Usoro concluded his cross-examination of the first prosecution witness in the ongoing trial, Michael Wetkas.
The charge reads in part: “That you Saraki while being senator did receive monthly salary as governor of Kwara state.”
The prosecution witness during the cross-examination admitted that Saraki was not interrogated in relation to the said charges.
Usoro: Did you speak with Kwara state government or officials as regard this allegation.
Wetkas: No, I didn’t speak with them.
Usoro: Throughout the investigation you didn’t speak with the defendant?
Wetkas: Yes, that is correct.
Usoro: So, in respect of this charge you didn’t have any input from him?
Wetkas: No, I did not.
