The bleeding is caused by the hymen breaking during first time sex. The hymen can be broken/worn away by any number of things as you grow up (riding a bike or using a tampon, for example) without you even being aware of it. Some women are born without a hymen.

Virginity is defined as someone who has never had penile/vaginal intercourse.

Masturbation is a normal and healthy way of learning about your body and its responses.

    1) do women bleed during first time sex? No. Bleeding is caused by the hymein being broken. This can happen during day to day life. If you horse ride it can happen, If you fall hard when ice skating it can happen, if you take a bad fall in genral it can happen. If you mastrabate internatlly in can happen. Basicly the hymein isnt a very strong peice of skin.

    2) if a women doesn't bleed then does it mean that she is not a virgin? no. virginity is only counted as when a girl has intercourse so if she lost her hymein in any other way she would still be a virgin.

    3) if u dont bleed is it bad? no as i said they can be lost in day to day activity (even running) just anything where the impact is enough to break it or if you have had any internal exams (like the smear) or have tried internal mastrabation. its not bad.

    4) if u masturbate then will u still bleed during sex? Depends on he sort of mastrabation. if its internal chances are you have broken your hymein yourself. If it is cliteral then chances are you havent broken the hymein through mastrabation.

    5) does masturbating cause no bleeding during sex? Internal can as you can remove the hymein with your fingures or an internal vibrator.

  • It's actually a misconception that girls who doesn't bleed on their first time of intercourse are no longer virgins. It is okay not to bleed, most women don't. There are many reasons behind it, the cause of bleeding is the breaking of the hymen that is done through penetration. The hymen is a very thin and can be easily broken. Athletes commonly because of stretching and exercise breaks the hymen which means that they no longer will bleed while having sex.

Not bleeding on your first time is not something to be scared about especially if you masturbate, we can already assume that you won't bleed. The definition of virginity is not yet able to experience sexual intercourse. If you haven't been penetrated by a male reproductive organ then you are still a virgin. And to bleed or not to bleed is no longer relevant. The other comments had already explain a lot. If you are not satisfied with the provided information you can just research about it. :)

Is there any way a guy can know whether or not a girl is a virgin when they have sex? Does she always bleed if it's the first time?

Many people believe that bleeding after intercourse is a sign of virginity because it proves that the hymen — a thin, fleshy membrane that partially covers the vaginal opening — "broke." But not all women bleed the first time they have sex. Not only can hymen tissue simply stretch during penetration, rather than tear and bleed, but it is also very common for the hymen to rip before a woman ever has sex. Physical exercise, like riding a bike or doing gymnastics, injury to the genital area, or inserting a tampon, finger, or sex toy into the vagina can all cause the hymen to split. Sometimes there will be discomfort and blood when the hymen tears, or there may be no blood or pain at all. In fact, you may not even know when your hymen breaks.
On the other hand, post-sex bleeding can occur for a variety of reasons besides a broken hymen, such as different types of infections, polyps of the cervix or abnormal cervical cells, and a tear in the vagina from vigorous sex without enough lubrication.
So, while a man might assume that a woman who bleeds after sex is a virgin, the only way for him to know for sure is if she tells him.

Every person’s body is unique, and the way it reacts is unique, too. Some girls might have heard that they will bleed during their first intercourse. For some girls, that might be true – but for others, there might not be any blood at all. Why the big difference from one girl to another?
It’s because of something called the hymen. The hymen is a thin layer of protective skin inside the vagina. Some girls are born with a full hymen that covers the vaginal opening completely; other girls are born with a partial hymen, or even none at all. But even if there is a full hymen at birth, it often tears long before a girl has intercourse. The tearing can happen through rigorous sports, or even from inserting tampons. Once the hymen tears, it doesn’t grow back.
That’s why some women feel a bit of pain and have a bit of bleeding during intercourse – because their hymen breaks. But for some girls, there might be no pain, only bleeding. For other girls, there might be no sign of a hymen at all.
Sometimes a woman will break her hymen herself during masturbation, especially if she inserts something into the vagina. Even her fingers can break through the hymen. It is very important to remember that with all the potential ways a hymen can break, the lack of bleeding during first intercourse is no proof that a girl is a virgin.
