Sex workers in Delta lament unpaid bills, allegedly detain ‘married men’ who patronise  them

Hehe....The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP, Mr. Alkali Baba Usman has disclosed that as part of the strategies to rid the state of criminally-minded persons, the Command has begun raid into many of the brothels in the state.Usman observed that people with questionable minds and characters were usually those who patronized the commercial sex workers, revealing that the “A” Division Police Station in Asaba, had several times raided the brothel which operates as a guest house and had arrested many of the workers. This
came after sex workers operating around Summit Road, Asaba, on Thursday, reportedly detained three married men for allegedly failing to pay after being “serviced” for hours. According to The Punch, the sex workers had told the clients that a round of sex was N3,000 while ‘Till Day Break’ ranges between N7,000 and N8,000, depending on negotiations. However, trouble started after the victims pressured the sex workers into having sex with them for a down payment of N2,000 for each round, promising that they will pay the balance after the action. The sex workers had grudgingly accepted the deal after a long-drawn haggling session, warning that their failure to pay the balance will attract trouble for them. However, the men could not come up with the balance afterwards.
