Moses, Ameobi shine, Ogbeche scores

Nigerian forwards Victor Moses and Sammy Ameobi continued their good forms for their clubs on Sunday as they were active in their clubs’ win in the English Premier League.
Although Ameobi played for 78 minutes in Newcastle’s 2-0 win over WestBromwich Albion at the Hawthorns, his presence was felt as he led the onslaught against Victor Anichebe’s side.
The forward, who has scored a goal in the league this season, struck the woodwork midway into the first half before goals from Perez Ayoze and Fabio Coloccini in the 45th and 62nd minutes gave the three points to The Magpies. He was substituted in the 78th minute for Yoan Gouffran.
For Moses, the form which has endeared him to the heart of the Stoke City fans continued as they defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Whitehart Lane.
The Eagles forward played the entire duration of the match and tormented the Spurs defence creating chances for his teammates.
Goals from Bojan Kirkic in the 6th minute and Jonathan Walters in the 33rd minute were all Stoke needed to claim the points which took them to ninth in the league table. A Nacer Chadli shot reduced the deficit for Tottenham, who suffered their second consecutive home defeat on Sunday.
Mikel Obi was on the bench in Chelsea’s 2-1 over Liverpool on Saturday. The midfielder was absent in the club’s Champions League 1-1 draw on Wednesday due to an injury.
The Nigerian has made six appearances for the club in the Premiership this season, with all being made as substitutes.
In the German Bundesliga, Anthony Ujah scored FC Cologne’s third goal in their 4-3 win over TSG Hoffeinheim on Saturday.

The forward, who played the entire match, scored in the 35th minute to bring his tally for the club this season to seven.
Ujah’s compatriot Chinedu Obasi was a 57th minute substitute for Sydney Sam in Schalke’s 2-0 loss away at Freiburg on Saturday.
Cologne are 10th on the log with 15 points from 11 matches while Schalke are 11th with 14 points.
Emmanuel Emenike played the entire duration of Fenerbahce’s 2-1 victory over Godfrey Oboabona’sRizespor in the Turkish Premier League on Saturday.
Goals from Michal Kadlec and Pierre Webo in the 41st and 80th minutes gave Fenerbahce the points which took them to the top of the league, over Galatasaray, with 19 points after nine games.
Oboabona, who also played the entire match, has made six appearances for the club and has scored a goal this season while Emenike has featured eight times for Fenerbahce with two goals to his name.
In Spain, Ramon Azeez played the entire match in Almeria’s 2-1 loss to Barcelona at home on Saturday.
Azeez has made seven appearances for the club but has yet to score a goal this season.
Striker Bartholomew Ogbeche was also on target as his Dutch side Cambur lost 4-2 at home to giants Ajax in the Eredivisie.
Ogbeche’s goal, Cambur’s second, was a penalty converted by the Super Eagles striker at the 2002 World Cup. He had earlier received a yellow card in the 42nd minute.
