Man's tweets boasting about the worrisome way he treats his wife goes viral

 

A man has released a video admitting that he controls his wife and doesn't allow her her freedom because of his insecurities.

 

The man named Cleveland Jay said this while reacting to a tweet advising couples to love their spouses in such a way that their spouse feels free.

 

He replied, saying it can't work for him because he's naturally controlling. He said he controls his wife and allows her access to Internet only when she displays good behaviour.

 

He said he tells her when to eat, what to do, and he's strict with her.

 

He admitted he knows his wife is not free but says she feels his love all the same.

 

He added that he treats her that way because of his insecurities.

 

 

His tweet troubled other Twitter users and they called him out.

 

 

He then released a video of his wife addressing the issue to prove that she doesn't mind.

However, the woman seems nervous in the video and she's seen pulling at her dress and laughing nervously as she says she loves her husband.

 

Twitter users pointed this out but Cleveland didn't care. Instead, he said his wife is still better off than those complaining because she has a ring and they don't.

Man cuts off private part of a 6-year-old girl for ritual in Bauchi

 

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested one Adamu Abdul Ra’uf of Gandu Jama’are, 20, for allegedly cutting off the private part of a 6-year-old girl for ritual. 

 

The Command's Spokesman, DSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, who disclosed this on Friday, January 1, 2021, said the suspect was arrested following a report to the police by the child's aunt after she was found in a pool of blood. .

 

"On the 30/12/2020 at about 1720 hrs one Hafsatu Wada ‘F’ of zango jama'are LGA reported at jama’are police station that her niece Safarau Mohammed (not real name) ‘f‘ aged 6yrs of the same address was found crying in a pool of blood," said Wakil.

 

"Upon receipt of the complaint, patrol team led by the DPO Jama’are Division visited the scene and the victim was rushed to General Hospital Jama’are where the Doctor confirmed that her private part has been cut off with a sharp object. The victim was immediately referred to FMC Azare for more medical response,"

 

"During investigation, One Adamu Abdul Ra’uf aged 20yrs of Gandu Jama’are was arrested. On interrogation, the suspect freely confessed to have conspired with one Abdulkadir wada haladu of Chikamidari area of jama’are to perpetrate the crime." he added.

 

The said Abdulkadir is currently at large but necessary measures have been put in place for possible and immediate apprehension. Meanwhile, investigation is still on going.

 

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police CP Lawan Tanko Jimeta directed that the case to be transferred to SCID for discreet investigation.

The Federal Government has published the passport numbers of 100 travelers, who failed to undergo the mandatory COVID19 test after their return to Nigeria.

 

The Presidential Task Force on COVID19 on December 24, announced that travelers who refused to undergo the mandatory COVID19 test after returning to the country would have their passports suspended. 

 

True to the threat, the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 today, January 2, announced the suspension of the passports.

 

“Based on Presidental authority, travel restrictions are placed on the following passports due to non-compliance to the mandatory Day 7 post-arrival COVID-19 test,”  a statement from the PTF read

 

The taskforce said the restrictions started from January 1, 2021, and would last till June 30, 2021. The PTF also confirmed that the affected passengers have been notified and will be prevented from traveling out of the country during the period.

Take care of youths or they will rise against your government- Fr Mbaka tells President Buhari

 

Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, the spiritual director of the Adoration Ministry, has warned the Buhari administration that the youth will rise against the government if it does not cater to their needs.

 

Mbaka stated this while speaking at his church during the 2020 crossover service. In his words

 

“The Holy Spirit of God asked me to warn the government of the day to be very careful; to change policies and take care of the youths without politicizing their (youths’) condition. That the government should rise and urgently create jobs and innovate opportunities that would benefit the youths of the nation because they have suffered so much.

Don’t politicise the condition of the youths, otherwise, they will arise and end the political system. Should the government fail to do so as soon as possible, that time is coming when the youths will rise against the government, and that any attempt to stop them will end the government”

 

He also added that the end of politicians who loot the treasury is coming soon.

 

“I can see a year ahead; it is not specific whether it is in 2021 that this will happen, but it is within a time in the time of life, that the anger of God will befall many people in the political circle because they have looted so much and disgraced this nation enough.

RIP........Deputy National President of the Trade Union congress, Chika Onuegbu, has died

 

Deputy National President of the Trade Union Congress, TUC, Chika Onuegbu, is dead.

 

Onuegbu died in the early hours of today Saturday, January 2, after a brief illness.

 

Late Onuegbu was the immediate past Chairman of TUC in Rivers State between December 2012 and July 2016. He also served as National Industrial Relation Officer of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN between May 2011 and June 2014.

 

Mr Onuegbu was a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) with over 22 years post-ICAN & CITN qualification experience.

Eleven-year-old student of the Deeper Life High School, Akwa Ibom, Don Davis, has shared details of how he was allegedly assaulted and molested by staff and students of the school.

 

In a Facebook live with his mum, Don Davis said he began to suffer physical assault from one of the teachers because he was bedwetting

''When I got to Deeper Life school, because I bedwet, Mr Akpan uses belt on me. He uses any thing he sees, even if it is iron, belt, or he can even use stone. Because I bedwet, they transferred me from JS1 dormotery to SS1 dormitory.

There were two boys named Ola and Shalom, they used to put their hands inside my anus, bring out feaces and then use that same hand to beat me. For two weeks I did not have my bath''

 

When asked why he didn't report the assault to the school authorities, Don Davis said Ola and Shalom, both SS1 students, threatened to kill him if he should ever report them.

It is wrong to compel everybody to follow the findings of questionnable individuals. It is wrong.  I say this to you, these are simple things., simple truths. If you cannot ask the right questions, then you open yourself to destruction. 

Ask yourself, what is the evidence that wearing of masks works? They told you so. I have done enormous research on it. The question is, have you?

Don't just listen because somebody said so or the W.H.O said so. I disagree with the W.H.O for clear reasons. They have made too many mistakes and they don't apologise. They just change their minds and expect us to just follow. Remember, they didn't drop from heaven into W.H.O. We can ask them questions. They are not gods. Even God accepts questions and he answers. Why can't we asks these ones?

If you have the scientific evidence that lockdown works, provide it. So far, the nations that have been most compliant have had their numbers skyrocketing because they are not true''

''I have sent people to go to the hospitals we were told were full. In many of the hospitals, they found very few or no sick people or patients. The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, said on Friday, Jan 1, 2020, that for every Covid-19 vaccine discovered, a new variant of the virus will emerge until the high and mighty admit that safety is of God.

 

He stated this in his "Prophecies for 2021" released after the church’s virtual crossover service.

 

Leading pharmaceutical companies have developed a number of Covid-19 vaccines to protect against the Coronavirus. However, new variants of the virus have been discovered.

 

Adeboye said "this will continue until the high and mighty admit that safety is of the Lord".

 

The 78-year-old cleric said: "Some of the things that happened in 2020 will spill over into 2021.

 

"The world as a whole can only come out of the wounds when they admit the following;

The Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide aka Winners’ Chapel, David Oyedepo, says the devil is using the COVID19 pandemic to attack the church of Christ and that there is nothing in the novel Coronavirus.

 

Oyedepo who has consistently condemned the protocols put in place to contain the spread of COVID19, said this while delivering his new year's eve sermon in his church in Ota, Ogun state.

“When the church goes against a man, his destiny is finished. When the church goes against a system, that system will crash.

Men and brethren, there is nothing in Covid-19. One of the governors was making some statements recently and said, ‘We have only had five cases since the noise began. So, where is Covid-19?

One governor was also quoted as saying, ‘I saw people at National Identification Card area, no distancing, no nothing and how much more the church of God where there is order’.

There is no Covid-19 in National Population Card Centre. There is no social distancing in the market. There is nowhere to wash hands or wash nose and even the officials who are in charge are also buying things there.

What I think they don’t know is that the church has changed level. When the church launches an attack against anyone or system, that system crashes. Thank God we have prevailed.”

A woman  has claimed her dad called her network provider to request a list of all her incoming and outgoing calls. 

 

She added that the network provider provided the list and her dad sat down to call every single number she has interacted with in the past few days.

 

She claims if he sees a call that lasted for more than 2 minutes, her father will call the person to ask what they were discussing. 

 

 

 

When asked how this is possible, she explained that her dad is one of their greatest customers.

 

The network provider, MTN, has now responded. They explained that they will investigate and they asked for her father's number to allow them investigate.

CATHOLIC CHURCH ? "It's way too much about money, fundraising, and thanksgiving"- Chimamanda Adichie speaks on why she stopped attending Catholic Churches in Nigeria (video)

 

Award-winning Nigerian author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, says Catholicism in Nigeria is way too much about money, thanksgiving, and fundraising and this amongst many other reasons made her stop attending Catholic churches in Nigeria.

 

The 43-year-old novelist stated this during an interview with media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu. According to her, she still considers herself a Catholic nominally and only attends masses outside Nigeria whenever she finds a “progressive” Catholic community that upholds humanity.

“I grew up Catholic. Catholicism was very important to me. It‘s almost like a culture, not just a religion. So even if you leave the Catholic Church, it’s in you. Today, I don’t like to talk about religion because I don’t know,” she said.

I think of myself as agnostic and questioning. Catholicism holds you tight. There are many other protestant denominations that are not so. It’s all-inclusive. ‘You cannot eat before mass. You have to go to confession.’

There are so many rules. It teaches you guilt in a way that I don’t think so many protestant denominations do. I’m Catholic, nominally. I still feel protective of some things about the Catholic Church. But I don’t attend it in Nigeria.

Nigerian Catholicism is way too much about money, fundraising, and thanksgiving. Some in the east even look at who’s wearing gold. I think the focus of religion should be things Nigerian Catholicism doesn’t focus on.

Culturally, I call myself a catholic. But if being religious means performing and going to confession, I’m not. I don’t go to church in Nigeria. Outside the country? Certainly not often. When I find a progressive Catholic Church, I go.

There’s still something beautiful about the mass. I find Latin beautiful, the priests sweeping up in their dresses, and the sense of community. But there’s also a lot that I quarrel with. It’s the pope I love because he’s so human. 

Hyper-conservative Catholics don’t like him. But if they read Catholic history, they should know there have been people like him who have reformed the church. I respect religion in general while questioning some of its excesses.”she said

 

Chimamanda also shared on Nollywood movies and why she hardly watches them.

“Nollywood is something I’m grateful exists. If I’m outside Nigeria, you dare not talk bad about it. I will fight you. But I hardly ever watch Nollywood. Years ago, I would start something and it was just hard to finish.

I would be like there are problems with the dialogue, the continuity. There were problems with basic things but I think it’s changing a bit. But I did watch something that I quite liked, the new ‘Living In Bondage’. I quite liked it.

I watched it because a friend of mine had suggested it and because I feel very emotionally attached to the original ‘Living In Bondage’. It’s charmingly innocent. Jazz in Nollywood has always been a thing that I liked to mock.

People turning in chickens and that kind of thing. But the way jazz was done in this remake was really good.

It’s a testament to what Nollywood has become and what it can do. But I’m must say that I’m much more willing to give Nollywood a chance than I’m to give mainstream American TV shows a chance.” she said

#JusticeForDonDavis: Parents of young boy allegedly molested at Deeper Life school demand N100m compensation from school authorities

 

The parents of 11-year- old Don-Davies Archibong, A JSS1 student of Deeper Life High School Idoro Uyo, who was allegedly sexually molested by his school mates two months after he resumed school, have demanded the sum of one hundred million naira as compensation from the school.

The parents made the demand in a letter addressed to the Principal of the School and written by their solicitors, Eagle-Eyes Network Chambers, and signed by David Okokon (Esq).

 

The letter which is entitled “Gross Child abuse, palpable molestation, serial bullying, criminal starvation, malicious oppression, and dubious maltreatment of master Don-Davies Archibong (11years old) by the Principal and Boarding Master, of Deeper Life Secondary School, Uyo”  and dated December 22, 2020, reads in part

 

“We are solicitors to Mr. and Mrs, Iniobong  Archibong, resident in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State herein after referred to as our client. We have the firm explicit and unequivocal instructions to write to you on the above subject matter.

It is indeed provocatively heartbroken, morally suicidal, religiously hypocritical that our client’s 11-year-old son was torrentially bombarded with physical, and inhuman torture of debilitating dimension with resultant castration of his human person, dignity, and childhood innocence.

We respectfully demand the payment of N100,000,000 within 21 days of the receipt of this letter as compensation to assuage the dehumanizing, horrendous torture and indignity our client’s son was subjected to and for his medical checkup and medication.

We demand that Deeper Life High School Idoro, Uyo to publish an unreserved apology to our clients in two National Newspapers; PUNCH, THISDAY,  and any other two local Newspapers circulated within Akwa Ibom State and its environs”

 

Meanwhile, the Akwa Ibom State government has withdrawn from investigating the incident and has left the investigation to the police and other relevant institutions. The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy Mr. Ini Ememobong who disclosed this, said the State Government will upon receipt of the investigation report and take necessary actions thereafter.

A Nigerian lady has vowed to divorce her husband if he ever demanded for a DNA test for their child. 

 

In a tweet, the Twitter user @EniolaShitta wrote: 'God knows, if I ever use my body to carry your child and you ask for a DNA test, I will give you that test and afterwards, your divorce papers.'

 

When one of her followers tried to explain that she can't fault men based on sad experiences from the past, the lady replied by saying so many men are 'rushing to demand DNA tests without understanding what they are actually saying.'
