A human right lawyer, Bolanle, has decried the high rate of divorce among ‘happily married' Nigerian couples after they relocate to the UK.
“The rate at which happily married couples in Nigeria relocate to UK only to divorce after 2years. @Oluomoofderby, what is really happening in UK? Marriages are scattering everyday,” the lawyer tweeted on Saturday.
Divorce is not about
ReplyDelete“ relocation “ but about that one or both of the partners don’t want to work on marriage.
Living in a different lifestyle can be challenging but life is about challenges, we are meant to embrace the challenges, especially if you love someone you will keep on trying. But it takes both to be willing to work on it , to make it work. God puts couples together to be a team . Not 2 separate individuals wanting their way all the time but 2 individuals being as one flesh . Challenges are suppose to happen to make us mature , but it takes deep abiding selfless love too from each person.
So if one or both don’t have that heart and attitude it’s better to part.
