*WHILE WE MOURN*
IT is with pain, heavy heart,
frightening disbelief and utter shock that the Class Welfare Committee bring to our notice, the passing onto glory of a friend, Colleague, brother and an Alumni of our great Alma mata; *Dr Uyi Iluobe*, whose sad event happened yesterday within the Oghara environs of Delta State: The information available to us is, he was to treat a patient who presented to his facility with wounds suspicious of those from gun shots but he requested for a police report. While they are at it the patient was unfortunately lost and the friends of the patient who brought him to the hospital came back for our colleague and he subsequently suffered GSW from the assailants.
Your demise is too hard for us to accept and we still cannot decipher that you have gone so early even while at your duty post serving mankind, leaving behind your wife, our colleague and the wards.
The memories we all shared while in AAU and beyond, your friendly disposition and attitude to life remains a reference point.
Though short lived but God actually knows the best, we are glad you have touched lives through the instrumentality of our noble profession.
And we will cherish your memories forever and you will always be alive in our hearts. Surely, you will be sorely missed.
We commiserates with his family members, Associates, AAU Medical Community and his loved ones.
May God grant us all much strength to cope with the reality of the irreparable loss.
We shall be bringing the burial arrangements to our notice once concluded and announced by the family. The Alumni body is also aware of this untimely death.
Kindly do our late brother the honour of writing a tribute on his ForeverMissed page. 🙏🏼
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
As you where.
