HAHA....Mild drama at APC presidential primary as Tinubu 'ignores' Osinbajo but later goes to greet him (video)

There was a mild drama between Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Bola Tinubu at the APC Presidential primary some moments ago
 

Tinubu left his seat to greet President Buhari who had just arrived at Eagle Square as the votes for the aspirants were being collated.
 

The former Lagos state governor passed by Osinbajo, greeted the President and other party members. He then walked back to his seat but was accosted by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, who told him he did not greet Osinbajo.

 

Tinubu immediately went back and greeted Osinbajo. Both men shook hands before he left for his seat.

Bola Tinubu has won the APC Presidential ticket. The 70-year-old former Lagos state governor defeated 14 aspirants to clinch the party's ticket for the 2023 Presidential election.

 

According to the results collated, Tinubu polled a total of 1271 votes.

 

Other aspirants such as Vice President Yemi Osinbajo polled a total of 235, Governor Dave Umahi- 38, Emeka Nwajiuba-1, Pastor Tunde Bakare-0, Senator Ahmed Sani- 4, Rotimi Amaechi- 316, Senator Rochas Okorocha-0, Governor Yahaya Bello- 47, Tein Jack Rich- 0, Ogbonnaya Onu- 1, Senator Ahmed Lawan- 152, Senator Ben Ayade- 37, Ikeobasi Mokelu- 0.

 

Earlier in the primaries, Governors Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state, Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa state, former Governor Ibikunle Amosun, former Speaker of the House of Representatives Dimeji Bankole, Senator Robert Boroffice, Female aspirant Uju Ken-Ohanenye, and former governor Godswill Akpabio withdrew from the race and declared their support for Tinubu.

 

As it stands, Tinubu will slug it out with Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of PDP in the 2023 Presidential election scheduled to hold on February 25, 2023.

 

 Governorship and state assembly elections will be held on March 11, 2023.
