“Smoking weed is not good for your heart” – New studies say

Smoking weed is not good for your heart - New studies say lailasnews
Many countries are legalizing cannabis, as various study has proved it to be safer than cigarette, but a new report has now stated that smoking weed is not good for the heart.
In a new statement released by the American Heart Association, Dr. Rose Marie Robertson, the deputy chief science and medical officer for the association said;
“The American Heart Association recommends that people not smoke or vape any substance, including cannabis products, because of the potential harm to the heart, lungs and blood vessels.”
The new scientific statement, published Wednesday in the AHA journal Circulation, examined existing research on the connection between cannabis and the heart.
The statement found using weed has “the potential to interfere with prescribed medications” as well as “trigger cardiovascular conditions or events, such as heart attacks and strokes,” said clinical pharmacologist Robert Page II, who chaired the medical writing group for the statement.
See some reactions to the new report below;
@christy60804: You can’t overdose on weed. However, you can walk into any store that sells liquor, buy a large bottle of vodka, slam it and literally die from alcohol poisoning. But yeah, let’s raise our drinks for a toast to how bad weed is.
@ryanmurray1000: It has been legalized in holland for so many years and their is no record of evidence to this your claim
@MuseThis: Alcohol is much worse for your body especially the kidneys and liver, the difference is the government makes billions off the sale of alcohol but is struggling to capture profits from pot because the illegal market is cheaper than regulated pot, government needs to be competitive
