Six new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Osun State lailasnews

Six new cases of coronavirus has just been reported in Osun state, taking the total number of cases in Nigeria to 190.The new cases were confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Twitter. Taking to the platform, the NCDC wrote;

“Six new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Osun State, Nigeria.
As at 11:00 am 3rd April there are 190 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Twenty have been discharged with two deaths”
The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire recently announced that Nigeria now has the capacity to test 1,500 people a day for coronavirus (COVID-19).
Ehanire disclosed this at Thursday’s briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja.

The Minister said;
“With the expanded national case definition and addition of two new laboratories to test for COVID-19 in Ibadan and Ebonyi States, the national testing capacity is now at 1,500 a day. I applaud all our health workers and emergency responders in this critical time.”
