Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, has accused members of the opposition of paying miscreants to boo the president during his visit to Borno state yesterday Wednesday February 13th.
The President was in Borno State on a sympathy visit following last Sunday February 9th's terror attack in Auno community. He was booed by residents of the state while driving in his convoy.
Speaking on the Hausa Service of the BBC this morning, Garba Shehu said the boos were masterminded by the opposition.
“I was part of the delegation that entered Maiduguri right from the airport to the palace of the Shehu of Borno. The people came out to say thank you and welcome us. But there was a group which came out shouting ‘we don’t want’. Some politicians gathered some miscreants and paid them money to boo Buhari” he said
